This video is about the rider’s position, it covers the many levels to a correct position. “Hi Im Sheila with everyday rider and today were going to talk about the riders position With riding in general there is a training scale; perhaps youve heard of the German riding scale. Rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightness must all be obtained in that order to achieve collection in riding. Well the rider should have a scale as well, and without proper foundations the rider cant achieve correct position. It begins from the ground up, deep heels, draping calves, loose knees, strong heavy thighs, absorbing hips, strong core, open chest and shoulders, giving hands and balanced head can create the ideal rider, a collected rider if you will. You cannot build a house on weak foundation, however if the foundation is strong the levels become endless. Here we will venture into the riders position.” **Please note: this is for educational purposes only. I, like every rider, am not perfect and have many of my own flaws.
